Counseling with Erin

Erin Nash is an Associate Professional Counselor (APC) and is currently pursuing Board Certification in Christian Counseling (BCCC). Using a counseling approach that combines both a Christian worldview and sound clinical treatment, Erin’s deepest desire is for her clients’ hearts to be fully known and seen. She brings authenticity, kindness, joy, and acceptance into her work as a counselor and strives to create a safe place of refuge for her clients to share their stories. Erin works from an integrative theoretical orientation with a focus in both person-centered theory and a strengths-based approach. It is Erin’s belief that clients know themselves best, and therefore, she strives to work collaboratively with her clients to focus on individual strengths and unique personal attributes to navigate through life’s difficulties.

Erin holds a B.S. in Psychology, an M.S. in Clinical Counseling, and an Ed.S in School Psychology. She has previous experience providing clinical mental health services in both residential and outpatient therapy settings. Prior to becoming a counselor, Erin worked in the schools as a school psychologist conducting assessments and treatment plans, helping to create classroom interventions, and facilitating group work. Erin also has 8 years of experience working in ministry as the Care Ministry Director where she helped connect individuals to community resources, provided care and mentoring to the congregation and staff, and sought to bring healing and hope to the community.

Favorite Quote:

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”
