What is This Group About?

A community circle is exactly what it sounds like. A circle for individuals to feel part of a community and even beyond. This circle in turn is a social circle, the older term is called a ‘council circle’. A little background on council circles.

Council Circles have helped people come together in collaborative dialogue and action since the beginning of time. Our ancient ancestors came to the campfire to cook, to keep themselves warm and safe, to tell stories, and to establish rules of behavior and governance that supported community development. These are the same reasons people come to the circle today: to be social, to discover safe methods of dialogue, to share stories, build community, and hold meetings in a collaborative manner.

When I hold this circle together at Arise, everyone is enabled to discover their collective wisdom.

No matter what your background is – mentally, spiritually, religiously, racially, and culturally. This circle strives to help you discover who you really are in order to see and embody the resources that you can offer in the present moment, and even to future conversation, tasks, and issues.

If we lean into each other with intention, faith, and courage we will emerge resilient on the other side. History is full of moments like this, and it is our overall goal and value to equip you with the space and the strategies to be on the course to come out of this with resilience, confidence, and spiritual purpose.
