Therapy with Lauren
My name is Lauren Belding, and I am currently a third-year student at Mercer Universities School of Medicine MFT program. I am projected to graduate in May of 2024, and I am taking the LAMFT licensure exam the summer of 2024.
I have a background in Emergency medicine working as an AEMT after graduating from Southern Crescent Technical College. I also have a bachelor’s degree in human services/counseling psychology from Gordon State College. After graduating I worked as a Registered Behavioral Therapist for children with Autism, Downs Syndrome, and other cognitive disabilities.
I enjoy doing art therapy with children to help heal childhood trauma through play therapy and artwork. I also enjoy working with relationship systems between couples and families in order to help people have fulfilling and meaningful relationships.
I am passionate about therapy because I have an enthusiastic drive to help people overcome difficult situations and experiences in life. I believe that everyone has the inherent right to love and be loved; and that everyone is capable of positive change.
