Deana feels a calling to assist couples, families and individuals in their journeys toward experiencing depth, fulfillment, restoration and wholeness. She has a passion for helping people seek the sources of their emotional brokenness and guiding them in their journey toward healing. She loves to mentor and teach couples how to seek the deepest , richest love they can have in their relationships. She has a gift for discerning both the subtle and significant shifts that can be made in relational dynamics that can bring about profound positive change. She believes that we were created to experience peace, joy and fulfillment even in the midst of the struggles and obstacles in our lives. Her greatest joy is to guide people through the process of healing and change that allows them to thrive. She helps individuals, families, couples and groups process their challenges and experiences in order to build and restore mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health and wholeness. Deana is a seasoned counselor who has been practicing since 1987. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Georgia, her M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Augusta State University and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 1994. She has been a guest speaker on the radio programs Marriage and Families Today and Elizabeth Gore’s Talk for Women and a workshop leader at the Healthy Clergy & Congregation Conference. She has consulted with school systems, juvenile courts, preschools, MOMs groups, church staffs and other agencies on a variety of issues. Her experiences cross the spectrums of private practice, hospitals, schools, agencies and churches. She has specialty training in Premarital & Marriage Counseling, Post Affair Recovery, PREPARE ENRICH ® Couples and Parenting Assessments, Trauma Resolution Therapy®, Grief & Loss Recovery, Deep Inner Healing Prayer, Abuse Survivor Recovery and a variety of life adjustment and relational issues. She and her family have been active members of Southside Church (a strategic partner church of Northpoint Ministries) in Peachtree City, GA since it began. She resides in Fayette County with her husband of 26 years and 2 of their 3 children. She is excited to soon become a grandparent. She is the founder and owner of Abundant Life, P.C. Counseling Services, a reputable, private practice that has been serving the south metro Atlanta area since 2004. Sharing the mission of Connie Jones Counseling & Coaching,LLC, she is joining our group as both a counselor & coach and the Clinical Director of the Peachtree City Therapy Group.
